A quadruple amputee has posed nude in stunning bodypaint to turn the spotlight on organ and limb donation.

Corinne Hutton has been on the waiting list for a double hand transplant for two years.

She had her hands and her legs below the knee amputated three years ago after suffering acute pneumonia and septicaemia.

The single mum’s body was painted with the organs and tissues suitable for transplant.

Her photo was projected on to London landmarks last night to coincide with Organ Donation Week.

Before she was ill, Corinne ran her own graphics company based in Glasgow but the 46-year-old now devotes her life to her charity Finding Your Feet.

Known as Scotland’s bionic mum, she has raised more than £250,000 through events such as cycling 90km around Arran and learning to ballroom dance.

Corinne, of Lochwinnoch, Renfrewshire, said: “I want people to appreciate the need for organ and limb donation and I felt this was a way of doing it that would grab people’s attention.

“When I was sick, my parents were asked whether, if the time came, they would donate my organs.

“They were quick to say yes. Everyone out there has the ability to save a life or several lives by simply consenting to donate.”

Experts are trying to find a donor for Corinne who matches her blood group, skin tone and hand size.
